This for anyone who was lucky/unlucky enough not to see it was an insight into the permatanned, sequined, pushy mums world of freestyle disco for kids. I mainly spent the hour watching this open mouthed and slack jawed at what unfolded before my eyes.
Prisoners at Guantanamo Bay would have more fun, ive never seen ao many attention seeking mums and terrified/exhausted children in my life, the training seemed to be 10 hours a day, i guess all the children are home schooled as when would they have the time. Freestyle Disco seems to the untrained eye to be 3 minute routine, where you look like a cross between needing the loo and having a stroke not only that but the judges have to mark 14 girls at once!! The culmination of this training/shouting/sweating is a competition called Disco Kid, held in, you guessed it Blackpool where the Pushy Mums are beside themselves trying to win, sorry i meant their kids trying to win. Oh and stress and broken bones doesnt get you out of dancing you carry on.
It truly did border on child cruelty and i can only hope the NSPCC were called immediately following the programme
